IVF treatment for cervical cancer survivor.

This go fund me page has a special place in my heart and will change the lives for two of the most important people in my world, my sister Amy and her fiancé Scott. 

At just 24 years old my sister Amy went in for her first routine smear test, and the worst situation possible became a reality, and my big sister and best friend got the diagnosis of cervical cancer. Hospital visits and invasive procedures became the norm and our family was thrown into turmoil. 

After a hopeful visit to a consultant in London it soon became reality that Amy would never carry her own child without the high risk of losing her own life to this disease. A hysterectomy was the only option to give Amy the best chance to beat the cancer and therefore my sister, an amazing fully qualified paediatric nurse who works, lives and breaths children had to come to terms with the fact it would no longer be possible to give birth and hold her own child. 

A slither of good news got thrown our way and the consultant was able to save Amy’s ovaries, meaning her eggs could be frozen in the hope of a future surrogacy pregnancy. 

Amy is now three years cancer free and looking towards a future of marriage and family. I cannot exaggerate how much strength my sister has, she is a mother without a child and to go through this hurricane of emotions and illness and come out of  the other side a more positive and driven woman is beyond me. So I have now made it my personal mission to help her dreams come true of having her own little family.
